Bouncing water …

Bouncing water …, originally uploaded by asmundur.

The Öxarárfoss waterfall at Þingvellir with an anonymous innocent bystander. I went to Þingvellir to catch some of the autumn foliage but unfortunately I was to late. So it’s the 3rd year I fail to make images of the color display that marks the change of seasons. I hope I have some luck next time.

The backup plan was to take long exposures of the rivers and waterfalls there. But somehow my tripod had mysteriously moved from the trunk of my car into the garage. So no luck there.

The idea here was to make an image about the wonderful thing that happens when the strong sunlight hits the dense clouds of tiny waterdrops. I don’t think I’ve quite managed to do that decently but I think the image has some qualities and is worth sharing here. The processing wasn’t too extensive. It’s a manual mix of 3 bracketed handheld exposures with the usual adjustment of contrast, colors and levels.

I also want to thank all you people for your positive feedback recently.

Buckley Falls, originally uploaded by Luka Skracic.

I was bored this afternoon so i went for a drive. I found this place 17 minutes from my house. I never even knew about it.

I don’t plan on doing any sunrise shots for a while, they’re just too early now, so i’m now trying out sunsets, ha!

~Thank you all for your comments, this image made it at #12 in explore for 18/10/07!

Oh brother I can`t get through
I`ve been trying hard to reach you cause I don`t know what to do
Oh brother I can`t believe it`s true
I am scared about the future and I want to talk to you.
So you take a picture of something you see
Swim a river down to the sea
You can climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song that`s never been sung
Or do something that`s never been done
Let`s talk
